About BDS movement
The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) is a coalition of Palestinian civil society organizations that spearheads the BDS movement for Palestinian rights. With the support of over 170 Palestinian organizations, the BNC launched the Palestinian Call for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel in 2005. The BNC represents all major components of the Palestinian population: refugees in exile, Palestinians under occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and the marginalized Palestinian citizens of Israel.
As the coordinating body for the BDS campaign worldwide, the BNC's mission is to strengthen and promote the culture of boycott as a form of nonviolent resistance against Israeli occupation, colonialism, and apartheid. They develop strategies, provide guidance and support to BDS campaign efforts globally, and serve as a reference point for anti-normalization campaigns within Palestine. The BNC engages in various activities, including campaigning, advocacy, monitoring and rapid response, media outreach, coordination, awareness raising, training, research, and strategy development.
With offices in multiple parts of Palestine and a network of international partners, the BNC plays a crucial role in mobilizing support for the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice, and equality
