About Bangladesh Wheelchair Sports Foundation
Bangladesh Wheelchair Sports Foundation is a non-profitable sports organization in Bangladesh that focuses on promoting para sports for individuals with physical impairments. Established in 2018 and registered under the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, BWSF aims to ensure the mental growth, livelihood, social prestige, and leadership development of wheelchair users. They strive to integrate these individuals into mainstream society by encouraging their participation in various para sports. Their ultimate goal is to create a professional para sports sector in Bangladesh.
As a recognized organization, BWSF has achieved the prestigious 'Joy Bangla Youth Award 2020'. They have organized and participated in numerous events such as the IWCC Four Nation Wheelchair Cricket Championship 2023, Wheelchair Rugby Training & Exhibition Tournament 2023, Bangladesh Japan Friendship Para Badminton Tournament 2022, and Bangabandhu Para Table Tennis Tournament 2022.
