LongBeachStateRowing

Beach Crew is the Long Beach State University rowing program, carrying on a tradition that began in 1957. Based at Marine Stadium in Long Beach, California, the team trains and competes on a historic course built for the 1932 Olympic Games and set to host rowing again in 2028. The program connects its athletes with this Olympic heritage while building a community shaped by teamwork, commitment, and a shared passion for rowing.

Beach Crew is a non-scholarship club that competes against varsity programs nationwide. It welcomes new students who want to learn the sport, take part in competition, and form lasting connections. The program also engages alumni and supporters through events, volunteer opportunities, newsletters, and ways to donate. Its alumni community helps sustain the team, with website hosting and maintenance donated by the Beach Crew Alumni Association, a California nonprofit organization. Through its rowing programs and community activities, Beach Crew brings together current athletes, former rowers, and supporters to strengthen Long Beach State’s rowing tradition and look toward the sport’s return to Marine Stadium in 2028.
