Beacon is an open-source memory layer for AI coding agents, developed by Asymptote Labs. It captures agent sessions across tools and turns useful experience into shared, reusable knowledge, helping teams and developers avoid losing lessons when a session ends. Beacon works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, and more than 20 other agent harnesses, bringing activity from different environments into one compounding knowledge layer.

The platform is designed to identify valuable workflows, corrections, debugging patterns, and other lessons from agent runs, then make them available as reusable skills. This enables future agents to benefit from previous successes and helps create clearer operational visibility into agent activity. Beacon’s offering includes its command-line interface, setup guidance, and developer resources such as documentation, an SDK, and a changelog. The CLI can be installed on macOS, Windows, and Linux, with an endpoint installation command provided for setup.
