Beacon Original Art, established in 2009 by artist Tammy Watt and her husband Stephen, fosters a welcoming space for artists and art lovers alike in Calgary's vibrant Bridgeland Riverside neighborhood. Initially launched as a one-day event featuring a handful of artists, it has evolved into a biannual boutique showcase hosting around 50 creators per event. These talented individuals display a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including paintings, jewelry, glasswork, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and textiles.

Each show brings together approximately 900 enthusiastic attendees, providing a platform for artists to engage with the public and connect with peers. Over the years, more than 300 artists from across Canada have participated, some achieving their goal of becoming professional artists represented in galleries and trade shows. Beacon Original Art not only nurtures artistic talent but also aims to build lasting relationships through a shared passion for art, deepening community bonds in Calgary.
