BEA Prairies, short for Building Equality in Architecture: Prairies (BEAP), is a dynamic initiative that champions equity and diversity within the city-building professions. With a focus on architecture, landscape architecture, planning, construction, and interior design, our organization aims to support, celebrate, and connect practitioners across the prairies. Taking an intersectional and cross-disciplinary approach, BEAP fosters leadership, mentorship, and networking opportunities within our professional community.

We host a variety of events and public lectures, aiming to create awareness and promote inclusive practices while addressing barriers. At the core of our mission is the celebration of the diverse voices, hands, and minds shaping the planning and design of our communities. Through our initiatives, we provide valuable connections for practitioners of all genders, enabling them to engage with leaders and mentors in the city-building professions across the prairies in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
