Bear Again

Bear Again is a unique sanctuary located in the heart of the Hășmaș Mountains, Romania, and proudly stands as the only facility in Europe dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned bear cubs. Established approximately 15 years ago, this organization offers these vulnerable animals a second chance at life in their natural habitat. Unlike other options that lead to a miserable existence in illegal captivity or zoos, Bear Again focuses on nurturing the cubs' innate survival instincts, allowing them to thrive as true members of their species.

Through a comprehensive rehabilitation program lasting up to two years, the orphaned bears are prepared for eventual release back into the wild. With a history of successfully reintroducing around 150 bears, Bear Again is committed to wildlife conservation and education. Visitors can witness the bear cubs and learn more about the conservation efforts that protect these majestic creatures, ensuring that every bear has the opportunity for a normal life in the wild.
