Bearfoot Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit equestrian center and horse rescue in Canton, Georgia. Its mission brings together therapeutic riding, compassionate horse care, and opportunities for people to connect with horses. The ranch offers therapeutic riding lessons and other riding activities in a safe, supportive environment, helping children and individuals with special needs work toward their potential through interaction with horses.
Bearfoot Ranch also rescues horses that have been abused or neglected, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being. After rehabilitation, horses suited to the lesson program may take part in activities for as long as they are able. Others are placed with safe foster families or remain at the ranch for lifelong care, with the organization continuing to follow their welfare. The ranch additionally participates in Tarpan horse conservation.
Community members can support its work through donations, volunteering, and horse sponsorship. Bearfoot Ranch also hosts activities such as horse camps and homeschool physical education with horses. Located on Cumming Highway, the ranch operates Tuesday through Saturday by appointment.
