BEAst, which stands for Byggbranschens Elektroniska Affärsstandard (Construction Industry Electronic Business Standard), is a non-profit association dedicated to developing common standards and practices for digital communication in collaboration with Nordic and international organizations. Their main focus is on the processes of procurement, purchasing, logistics, and invoicing within the construction industry. BEAst is not a product or software, but rather an agreed-upon, industry-driven information standard that makes data machine-readable for more efficient transmission.

In addition to their work on digital communication, BEAst also collaborates closely with various organizations both within and outside the construction sector to create a standard that suits everyone's needs. Over the years, numerous projects have been carried out within BEAst member companies to evaluate and enhance the standard. With 118 members, including some of Sweden's largest construction, infrastructure, and logistics companies, the industry has increasingly recognized the importance of implementing the standard.

To support the industry's diverse main processes in the most effective ways, BEAst has developed several standards, each tailored to a specific process. These include BEAst Supply Material, BEAst Supply NeC, and BEAst Supply Rental, all of which have been adapted to meet the unique requirements of construction sites for deliveries to contractors and subcontractors.
