Beaufort House is a boutique bed and breakfast in Akaroa, New Zealand, offering luxury accommodation in a historic homestead built in 1878. Owners Noel and Sharon welcome guests to the heritage property, set among gardens and an avocado orchard and a short stroll from Akaroa village. Views from the house take in the sea, surrounding hills, garden or orchard.
Guests can choose from five individually themed rooms: the Nalder, Shepherd, Beaufort, Walker and Fyfe rooms. Each has its own character and features, including queen or flexible king/twin beds, private bathrooms, walk-in showers, baths or, in the Shepherd Room, a private balcony. The Walker Room offers a large bathroom across the hall.
Accommodation includes a complimentary breakfast prepared in the Beaufort kitchen and hosted drinks and canapés at 6 p.m. with the owners. Beaufort House also offers accommodation vouchers and special packages, providing options for a peaceful getaway or a thoughtful gift.
