The Bed Bug Registry is a free, public database that helps travelers and renters check for and report bed bug encounters across the United States and Canada. Founded in 2006, the site has collected about 20,000 user-submitted reports covering 12,000 locations. Its central service lets visitors look up reports for apartments, hotels, and other places, as well as submit their own reports to share information with others.

Interactive maps show reported infestations by region, and visitors can browse recent reports and reports by city, including New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The registry aims to provide a neutral platform for sharing experiences and helping people make more informed decisions about where they stay or live. Its information is based on posts submitted by users, who remain responsible for their own contributions.

The site also offers resources, frequently asked questions, and a blog. By making reports searchable and accessible, the registry supports public awareness of bed bugs and their presence in locations across North America
