Bee Balm Wildscapes

Bee Balm Wildscapes is a small, woman-owned business serving Madison, Wisconsin, and surrounding areas. It creates custom native plant gardens designed to suit each homeowner’s yard, vision, and budget, bringing together practical experience and environmental science. The business focuses on small-scale, low-maintenance projects such as flower beds, garden patches, and front yards, with an emphasis on supporting native insects, birds, and other wildlife while creating spaces people enjoy.

Services begin with an in-person consultation to discuss the site and the client’s goals. Clients planning a do-it-yourself project can receive a comprehensive follow-up report with plant recommendations and purchasing guidance, site preparation instructions, design suggestions, management strategies, and maintenance tips. For full-service projects, Bee Balm Wildscapes can prepare sites, remove small trees or shrubs, apply herbicide, sheet-mulch or cut sod, and source and plant native flowers, shrubs, and trees. Plants are sourced from Wisconsin whenever possible. The business also offers first-year and ongoing maintenance to help gardens establish and thrive.
