The BEE Collective

The BEE Collective, or Beloved Early Education & Care Collective, is a South Carolina organization advocating for birthing and healing justice. Serving the Lowcountry, it works alongside families, care workers, and communities to build support from pregnancy through the early years, while also advancing healing, organizing, and systems change. Its approach brings families together with birthworkers, educators, community organizations, health partners, advocates, artists, and neighbors to create a connected network of care.

Based in North Charleston, Nsoromma House is the Collective’s community home and Perinatal Safe Spot. Families can access perinatal and postpartum support, childbirth education, breastfeeding assistance, care navigation, advocacy, early childhood activities, wellness programs, and community gatherings. Diapers, infant supplies, cribs, safe-sleep resources, and car seats are also available, with car seats offered when available.

The BEE Collective also supports the people who care for families through community-based doula training, mentorship, professional development, educator learning, and cooperative opportunities. Its wider work includes early childhood coalition building, community research, advocacy, family events, and healing-centered programs.
