About Be EnGayged
Be EnGayged is a brand that focuses on promoting social change and addressing legal needs, with a specific interest in LGBT+ rights in Hong Kong. The brand has been made possible through a seed grant awarded by PILnet, an international non-governmental organization that works to unlock law's full potential for social change. Be EnGayged provides a legal website where users can find summaries of recent court judgments, landmark overseas decisions on LGBT+ cases, journal articles written by legal academics, and selected blog entries contributed by law student bloggers from HKU.
The brand's upcoming phases include conducting an employers survey and collecting signatures for petitions to District Councils in Hong Kong. Be EnGayged also organizes the Mooting Competition to stimulate the interest of law students in public interest law and address legal needs in the community. With a team of devoted law students from the University of Hong Kong, Be EnGayged aims to solve social injustice and promote LGBT+ rights
