We need bees, bees need us 🐝 The BeeScanning app enables beekeepers to instantly diagnose varroa infestation and sick brood and brood disorders. Images taken of live bees on the brood frame are automatically analyzed with artificial intelligence, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, based on our database – the world’s largest – of manually annotated images of bees. BeeScanning is a fast, nondestructive method as opposed to conventional methods where one kills bees, avoiding the Queen or analyses dead fallen varroa in recurring intervals. BeeScanning is a brand that offers a revolutionary app designed to analyze the health of bees using a 100% bee-friendly method. If you wish to continue, you can opt for a monthly or yearly subscription with recurring billing, giving you the flexibility to cancel or switch anytime. Using the app is simple. Start by creating an apiary and a hive, then press Analyze and take pictures of your bees on the comb.
It is recommended to take 4 pictures for each side of a big frame like Dadant, 8 in total, depending on comb frame size. Make sure to hold your camera steady and focused at around 8 inches or 21 cm from the bees. Once you're done, upload the images and wait for the AI to process the data.
