Begriffsgeschichte

Interdisziplinäre Begriffsgeschichte, based in Berlin, serves as a comprehensive resource dedicated to the exploration and development of concepts across various academic disciplines. The platform provides an extensive and continuously updated collection of materials that document the historical evolution and contextual meanings of over 200 specialized terms, elucidating their significance in different fields and cultural semantics.

This initiative originated from a project aimed at researching interdisciplinary terminology, capturing shifts in meaning and usage across time and disciplines. It features bibliographic data, concept-based findings, and article drafts, all designed to foster collaborative work among writers engaged in conceptual and historical research. Currently, the website is evolving as a vital workspace for the project "Das 20. Jahrhundert in Grundbegriffen," which examines political, social, and cultural semantics in Germany. Utilizing the Dokuwiki content management system, the platform encourages contributions from scholars and authors interested in refining and expanding the lexicon, thus enriching the understanding of complex ideas throughout academia.
