The Hellenic Community of Pretoria (HCP), established on July 1, 1908, is a vibrant organization dedicated to preserving Greek culture, language, and Orthodox traditions in South Africa. Under the leadership of President Joakim Efthimiades, the HCP actively engages its approximately 3,500 members through a variety of committees, including the Benevolent, Church, School, and Dancing Committees. The community is home to a flourishing Greek Orthodox Church, multiple educational institutions catering to around 100 students, and a traditional dance program with about 95 participants.

HCP emphasizes the importance of cultural heritage, guiding members of all generations to embrace their Hellenic identity. Additionally, the community organizes numerous events and initiatives to celebrate Greek religious and cultural festivities.
