Behind Closed Doors Catering

Behind Closed Doors is a private cheffing and catering service serving the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. Led by chef Dave, who has more than 20 years of experience in luxury yachting, renowned restaurants and his own gourmet restaurant, the business creates dining experiences in clients’ homes and at events. Its services include private chef bookings, gourmet catering and event dining, with specialities such as tapas and canapés, degustation menus and shared feasts.

Menus are bespoke and change with the availability of produce. They can be tailored to guests’ dietary requirements, flavour preferences and budget. Dave consults with each client before an event, then plans and delivers personalised service, aiming to create an enjoyable atmosphere and memorable evenings. Dishes showcase carefully selected ingredients, including local produce from the Gold Coast region’s fields, farms and sea. The chef also enjoys explaining the dishes and the process behind them. Behind Closed Doors incorporates community giving into its work, partnering with local charities including OzHarvest to donate excess produce and meals and contribute time and skills where possible.
