Beirhope Alpacas is a family-oriented destination at Beirhope Farm in Hownam, near Kelso in the Scottish Borders. Set amid the Cheviot Hills, it offers relaxed outdoor experiences designed to help visitors slow down, enjoy the countryside and spend time with its alpacas. Activities include gentle alpaca walks and opportunities for close, unhurried encounters with the animals.

For a limited summer season, Beirhope also offers camping, with nine grass pitches for visitors bringing their own tents. The setting provides open skies, countryside surroundings and a quiet base for exploring the area. The farm can also host celebrations, including children’s birthdays, family gatherings, hen parties and private events, with packages available.

Beirhope’s shop features alpaca yarn, knitting kits, adoption packages, fibre jewellery and gifts, alongside other handmade and locally themed items. Its offerings include felted animal figures, wooden bowls, soaps and homewares.
