Kind to Animals Week

Edgar's Mission proudly hosts Be Kind to Animals Week, an annual initiative held from October 1 to 7, dedicated to promoting kindness towards all animals. Established in 2003, Edgar's Mission is a not-for-profit sanctuary located on 153 serene acres in Lancefield, Victoria, Australia. Their mission revolves around rescuing formerly farmed animals, with a current sanctuary population ranging from 350 to 450 residents.

During Be Kind to Animals Week, the organization encourages reflection on daily lifestyle choices, highlighting that even small acts of kindness can contribute significantly to a better world for animals. In addition to rescuing and caring for animals, Edgar's Mission also focuses on outreach, education, advocacy, and community enrichment, as well as offering sanctuary tours. They inspire people to expand their compassion and take actionable steps to support and protect vulnerable animals. Join us in commemorating this meaningful week and fostering a culture of kindness throughout the year.
