Belantara Foundation, also known as Yayasan Belantara, is a non-governmental organization in Indonesia dedicated to conservation, reforestation, and community development. Established in 2015, we focus on protecting the Indonesian landscape through local projects in designated conservation areas across Sumatra and Kalimantan. Our initiatives include the restoration and conservation of endangered species like the Sumatran Tiger, Sumatran Elephant, and Orangutans.

Collaborating with local communities, governments, and NGOs, Belantara emphasizes a multi-stakeholder approach to resource management. Our aim is to align existing conservation efforts, minimize project overlaps, and maximize information sharing. By working with partners in ten specified grant distribution areas, we strive for effective ecosystem preservation.

Belantara's Guideline, developed in 2014 with input from various stakeholders, serves as a framework for coordinated conservation activities. We support the Ministry of Environment and Forestry's initiatives and seek to catalyze investment in landscape conservation.
