Belevingshuus

The Belevingshuus is a small, experience-focused service based in Daarlerveen, Overijssel, offering inclusive activities for children and adults with additional support needs. Founded by Suus Kruiskamp in 2011, it began with overnight stays for children with intellectual disabilities and later developed into sensory and play-based experiences. Its approach centres on observing, listening and adapting activities to each person, encouraging discovery and enjoyment at an individual pace.

Through Suus aan Huus, Suus brings activities to homes and other locations. Options include interactive theatre, music sessions, themed celebrations and bubble parties, with programmes suitable for children, people with intellectual disabilities and people living with dementia. Themes range from seasons and holidays to travel, nature and imaginative play.

The Belevingshuus also provides practical workshops for families and professionals interested in experience-based support. Topics include BiM (Beleven in Muziek), creative Doedels activities, seasonal experiences and broader approaches to belevingsgericht werken. The workshops aim to inspire participants with ideas they can apply at home or at work. Cadeaubonnen are also available.
