The Belgian Project is a thriving initiative dedicated to promoting and nurturing young cycling talent in Ireland, celebrating its 17th anniversary from 2008 to 2025. Through the allocation of small bursaries, the project has significantly contributed to the development of aspiring cyclists, supporting both individual riders and cycling clubs focused on youth advancement. Since its inception, it has provided over £27,000 in financial assistance to multiple young athletes, helping them participate in races abroad.

In addition to financial support, The Belgian Project boasts a dedicated media team that captures the excitement of cycling events through photography, videos, and interviews, further enhancing the visibility of Irish cycling. The organization prides itself on being independent and community-driven, relying on volunteers who share their time and skills to foster a supportive environment for athletes.

With a motto of “Live the Dream,” the project is open to all individuals regardless of their background, emphasizing results, teamwork, and character in their selection process. Engaged in approximately 60 cycling events across various disciplines, The Belgian Project continually seeks new sponsorships to expand its impact.
