Bellwether Ridge

Bellwether Ridge, LLC is a family-run sheep farm located near the Sautee Valley in Clarkesville, Georgia. The farm combines family life with caring for a small flock, with a primary focus on American Jacob sheep. The family acquired its first Jacob ewes in 2020 and is committed to preserving this heritage breed, which is known for its spotted coats and distinctive horns. Jacob sheep are categorized as threatened in the United States by The Livestock Conservancy.

Alongside its preservation work, the farm is developing and offering quality fleeces, wool, wool products, yarn, and meat. Products are available directly from the farm, through social media, and via its Etsy link. The website also features information about the flock and lambs, including past lambs, as well as helpful links on breed standards and sheep production.
