Belper Marlin

Belper Marlin Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club offering professional teaching and coaching for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Based at Belper Leisure Centre, the club also trains at facilities in Alfreton and Heanor. Its programme supports swimmers at different stages, with sessions designed to help members develop and progress regardless of their experience.

Children can join from age four through Mini Marlins, where they can learn to swim. Swimmers who are already able to swim may be assessed for entry to the Main Marlin squad. The club focuses on teaching correct techniques, helping members become more proficient, swim faster and build confidence in the water.

Belper Marlin encourages swimmers aged nine and upwards to compete at an appropriate level in Swim England-registered galas against swimmers of similar ages. Events may take place at club, county, regional or national level. Alongside its squads and competitions, the club provides information for members, maintains a club calendar and welcomes volunteers.
