Belterra Agroforestry

Belterra Agroflorestas partners with small and medium-sized farmers in Brazil to establish productive forests on degraded land. Its approach combines agricultural production with land regeneration, helping farmers turn unproductive areas into sources of sustainable income. Belterra offers different partnership models so landowners can choose an arrangement suited to their circumstances. The company uses a planning tool to identify potentially profitable crop combinations for each region, pairing short-cycle crops that can generate harvests from the first year with longer-term tree species. This can provide early revenue while the main forest grows.

Once a partnership is established, Belterra’s technical team prepares the soil, supplies inputs, and carries out planting. The resulting agroforestry systems are designed to support productive, more manageable farming alongside regenerated land. Belterra also shares news and impact reporting, including its 2025 socio-environmental impact report, and publicizes initiatives such as the Marajó Resiliente project. Based in Curitiba, the company presents agroforestry as a way to strengthen rural livelihoods and create lasting value from the land.
