Belvoir Mine Alpacas is a family-owned and operated ranch in Ophir, California, in the Sierra Foothills between Auburn and Newcastle. Shalon and Lester Smith run the ranch, home to Huacaya and Suri alpacas alongside other farm animals. The business grew from the family’s interest in alpacas and experience gained through ranch volunteering, industry events, and training in animal care and fleece.

Belvoir Mine offers alpaca boarding and sales, raw fleece, yarn in a variety of colors, and alpaca-fleece products through its ranch boutique.
