Belvoir Vale RDA

Belvoir Vale RDA is a purpose-built riding centre serving the East Midlands community, where horses support therapeutic, social and personal development. Set across a 27-acre site, the centre provides a welcoming and supportive environment for people with disabilities to enjoy equestrian activities, build confidence and develop skills at their own pace.

Its programme includes riding and carriage-driving sessions, hippotherapy and other opportunities for healing and time with horses. Participants can also take part in horse care and volunteering, and some riders have opportunities to compete in regional and national RDA events. The centre’s stories and testimonials highlight benefits such as improved confidence, physical ability, communication and independence.

Belvoir Vale RDA relies on volunteers from a range of backgrounds and abilities to help deliver its work. The organisation also invites community members and businesses to support its activities through donations and fundraising. When RDA sessions are not taking place, its arenas are available to hire, giving users access to the equestrian facilities while helping support the centre’s local cause.
