Ben Grosser is an artist whose work examines the cultural, social, and political effects of software. Through projects that recompose and reimagine social platforms, AI futures, and interface cultures, he invites audiences to question how digital systems shape attention, behavior, and everyday experience. His work spans interactive projects, artistic interventions, writing, and experiments with online platforms and technologies.
Selected projects include Facebook Demetricator, which explores the role of visible metrics on social media, and Go Rando, alongside Safebook, Not For You, and Endless Doomscroller. More recent and ongoing works include Minus and Stuck in the Scroll. Grosser also uses redaction poetry to respond to technology narratives, including Andreessen’s Techno-Optimist Manifesto as Redaction Poetry and Zuckerberg’s The Future is for Everyone as Redaction Poetry. Other projects address software and media through works such as Touching Software, Computers Watching Movies, and ScareMail.
The site brings together Grosser’s project archive, blog, and information about the artist, with updates including interviews and posts.
