Benjamin Petit is a French photojournalist whose work brings together journalism, social impact, art, and culture. For more than a decade, he has documented social and humanitarian crises, creating visual stories that have appeared in The New York Times, Le Monde, Le Figaro, Stern, and Paris Match. His photographs have also been shown at photography festivals, galleries, and cultural institutions internationally.
In 2015, Petit co-founded Dysturb, a creative agency and news media organization that develops campaigns, public experiences, and content designed to engage audiences and encourage meaningful impact. As its director, he has led more than 80 activations across 55 cities, addressing topics including gender equality, inclusion, conflict, migration, and climate change. These projects have reached audiences in public spaces and involved partners such as the European Parliament, UNFPA, the ICRC, and Oxfam. His portfolio includes stories on climate refugees, the Yemeni uprising, Moroccan entrepreneurs, and American artisans. Through photography and public-facing media initiatives, Petit explores urgent issues and connects documentary storytelling with wider audiences.
