About Ben Janssens
Ben Janssens Oriental Art, established in London in 1996, specializes in antique Chinese and Japanese works of art. Our main focus is Chinese Art, encompassing two key categories. The first category comprises early pottery, bronzes, and sculpture dating from the Neolithic period to the Ming dynasty.
We offer Han and Tang dynasty pottery tomb sculpture, Shang and Zhou period bronze ritual vessels, archaic jade, Buddhist sculpture, as well as porcelain and stoneware from the Song period. The second category showcases later Chinese art in various materials such as porcelain, metal, jade, lacquer, enamel, and glass. These objects primarily originate from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
In addition to our Chinese collection, we also feature Japanese works of art, including sculpture, lacquer, metal, and porcelain, specially created for the domestic market.
