The Bennington Bookshop, established in 1928, is the oldest independent bookstore in Vermont. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of new books, including those featured on the New England Independent Booksellers Association bestsellers list. Our store features an extensive children's section, perfect for fostering a love of reading in young minds.
Additionally, we stock a selection of quality cards for all occasions, making us a convenient one-stop-shop for your gift-giving needs. In March 2015, Linda Foulsham and Phil Lewis took over as the new owners, injecting their passion and expertise into the store. Their inspiring story can be discovered in an interview with Phil on CAT-TV in Bennington.
We value accessibility and offer wheelchair access through both our front and rear doors. Our dedicated team is here to assist you in finding the perfect book or answer any queries you may have. We invite you to visit us during our opening hours, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
