Ben's Fund is a charitable initiative founded in 2012 by John Schneider, the General Manager of the Seattle Seahawks, and his wife Traci, inspired by their son Benβs autism diagnosis at age three. This fund aims to provide financial assistance and support for children and young adults with autism in Washington State. Through a partnership with the Seattle Foundation, Benβs Fund offers grants to families, covering costs related to essential therapies, medical bills, and other necessary support services.
Since its inception, the fund has awarded over 3,233 grants, each up to $1,000 per eligible child or young adult annually. In addition to financial assistance, Ben's Fund fosters a community of encouragement and understanding, alleviating the isolation often faced by families affected by autism. The organization also offers a comprehensive Resource Guide to connect families with vital health resources and support networks.
Ben's Fund emphasizes the power of togetherness, ensuring that families navigate their journeys in a compassionate and informed environment
