BEÖ, the Austrian Federal Association for Electric Mobility, is dedicated to promoting and advancing electric mobility throughout Austria. As we enter a new era of transportation, BEÖ recognizes the importance of sustainable and eco-friendly solutions. With growing environmental concerns and evolving technology, the need for innovative mobility options has never been greater.

BEÖ works towards improving the legal framework for the expansion of e-mobility and advocates for incentive systems to encourage the transition to electric vehicles. Collaborating with member companies, BEÖ is establishing a nationwide charging infrastructure powered by renewable energy sources. This network of charging stations aims to make electric mobility accessible and convenient for everyone.

Under the leadership of new chair Andreas Reinhardt, BEÖ is focused on furthering the development of e-mobility through research projects and public awareness campaigns. Reinhardt brings extensive expertise in energy services and has a passion for educating others about the benefits of e-mobility.

With 19,000 charging points, including 9,000 within the BEÖ network, Austria is already a pioneer in public charging station infrastructure. BEÖ is committed to expanding private charging options as well, recognizing that the majority of charging occurs at home or the workplace.

Through collaboration with politicians, businesses, and NGOs, BEÖ is driving the transition towards a more sustainable and electric future of transportation in Austria.
