Patinoarul Berceni Arena is a premier ice skating facility in Bucharest, marking the first such establishment built from the ground up in over 70 years. This modern arena is pivotal in reviving ice sports in Romania's capital, especially after the closure of the Mihai Flamaropol Ice Rink. The arena serves as the home ground for local hockey teams such as Sportul Studențesc, CSA Steaua, and Steaua Rangers, featuring a sizable 1,800 square meters ice surface.
In addition to hosting thrilling hockey games, Berceni Arena organizes various events, including the prestigious Bellu Memorial 2025, an international figure skating competition featuring 350 skaters from 22 countries. The facility also prioritizes community engagement by offering free skating initiation courses for children aged 4 to 12, encouraging young talent through qualified instructors. With free public access to recreational skating sessions throughout 2025, Berceni Arena is committed to making ice sports accessible to all, fostering a vibrant skating culture in the heart of Bucharest.
