Bergführer Josef

Josef Hilpold is a South Tyrol mountain guide based in the Bruneck area of the Puster Valley, Italy. Drawing on many years of experience leading and exploring the region’s mountains, he organizes personalized tours for individuals and small groups. His approach is to tailor each outing to participants’ interests and abilities while helping them experience the mountains safely and meaningfully.

His services cover a broad range of mountain activities, including rock climbing, trekking, freeriding, ski touring, snowshoeing, ice climbing, and high-altitude mountaineering. Tours combine hiking, rock and ice climbing, and mountain travel according to the terrain and objective. Trekking itineraries are designed around each guest’s wishes, and the program also includes trekking trips worldwide. In winter, Hilpold leads ski tours through remote landscapes and freeride outings on untracked slopes, including opportunities in Canada. He also guides clients on frozen waterfalls and high peaks, where the ascent and descent each form part of the mountain experience.
