Bergholz Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening Bergholz, Ohio, and surrounding communities. Incorporated in 1993, the foundation was established to support worthwhile local projects that might otherwise lack funding. Its mission is to foster community pride and enrich residents’ lives through leadership and financial assistance.
The foundation manages charitable funds, including scholarship, designated, and unrestricted funds, and supports organizations and initiatives across safety, religion, education, civic life, culture, health, social services, and recreation. Its funding has benefited local emergency services, churches, schools, civic clubs, food pantries, and other community organizations. It also awards scholarships to graduating seniors and helps fund educational programs.
Bergholz Community Foundation raises and administers donations to address both ongoing and emerging community needs. Contributions of any amount are welcome, including gifts of stock and beneficiary designations in wills or trusts. People can become members with a one-time contribution of $1,000 or a commitment of $100 annually for ten years.
