Bergknapp

Bergknapp is a Norwegian supplier and producer of sustainable green solutions for roofs, walls and outdoor spaces. Based in Sandnes, the company has produced sedum mats since 2009 and has supplied green roofs and Norwegian-grown turf for more than two decades. Its team produces, installs and develops products for projects of different sizes, with a focus on bringing nature back into built environments.

Bergknapp’s offerings include sedum roofs supplied as mats, modular cassettes or fresh cuttings, as well as blue-green roofs designed to retain and manage rainwater. Other products and services include ready turf, green walls using Butong or wire systems, wildflower meadows, turf roofs, roof gardens, insect hotels and maintenance agreements. The company also supplies related materials and solutions, such as growing media, drainage products and roof safety systems.

As a Miljøfyrtårn-certified business, Bergknapp promotes biodiversity, greener urban spaces and more sustainable stormwater management. Its solutions can help reduce pressure on drainage networks while creating habitat and welcoming places for people and wildlife.
