Bergland is a family-owned woodcarving company based in Val Gardena, Italy. Founded in 1981 by Walther and Reiner Kasslatter, the business continues a family tradition of craftsmanship rooted in the region. Each wooden figure is created from Bergland’s own designs and made by skilled craftsmen in Val Gardena, the traditional home of the local woodcarving craft in the Dolomites.

The company offers a broad collection of carved figures, including statues of saints, crucifixes, angels, nativity scenes, animals, and other non-religious subjects. Bergland is also the maker of the original Bergland Nativity, a distinctive part of its product range. Its online shop enables customers to purchase figures directly from the creator, with the assurance that they are genuine Val Gardena woodcarvings.

In addition to its standard collections, Bergland presents unique pieces and restoration services. Through its products and work, the company combines its own designs with traditional regional techniques and contributes to the continuation of Val Gardena’s woodcarving heritage
