Bergonié

Institut Bergonié is the regional cancer center serving Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. Based in Bordeaux, it provides specialist care across a wide range of cancers, including breast, digestive, gynecological, thoracic, blood, urological, and head and neck cancers. Its services span consultations and teleconsultations, hospital care, medical oncology, surgery, radiotherapy, diagnostic and interventional imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy, and anesthesia and intensive care. The institute also offers supportive oncology care, palliative care, and resources to help patients and families navigate treatment and life after cancer.

Alongside patient care, Institut Bergonié conducts research and clinical studies, with nearly 200 clinical trials reported as underway. It provides professional education and training and promotes prevention and awareness initiatives. Patient guidance includes appointment information, practical support for hospital stays, an online directory of clinicians and staff, and the Bergonié Uniconnect application. The institute also highlights patient rights, user and legal support, and cultural activities developed through its Culture & Santé program.
