Berkshire Meat Traders

Berkshire Meat Traders is a renowned brand that has been serving customers with high-quality meat since its inception in 1971. Originally known as Roger Steward Butchers, the business expanded over the years, acquiring the Berkshire Meat Company and relocating to larger premises in Reading. With a loyal customer base established through Bracknell Market, the brand offers a wide variety of meats not found in supermarkets.

They cater to wholesale customers, catering butchers, restaurants, and individuals, ensuring everyone can enjoy their delicious offerings. In addition to their thriving wholesale business, Berkshire Meat Traders launched an ecommerce website in 2009, allowing customers across the UK to conveniently enjoy their meat. With a recent rebranding as Hook'N'Block, they offer an extensive range of meats and even provide nationwide delivery.

Led by Philip Steward, Jonathan Steward, and David Powell, this family-run business now employs over 30 staff members. Their dedication to quality, affordable prices, and exceptional service has made them a go-to source for meat.
