Berlin City Cup

Berlin CityCup is an annual dragon boat festival held on Berlin’s Olympic regatta course in Grünau. Organized by Berlin’s largest dragon boat club, the event welcomes paddlers, visitors and sports enthusiasts for a day of racing and lively waterfront entertainment. The 27th Berlin CityCup is scheduled for 4 and 5 July 2026, with more than 70 teams expected to compete.

Races feature nine boats lining up side by side, each carrying 20 paddlers, who work together to the beat of a drummer. Teams race over distances of 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 metres, combining speed, strength and synchronized paddling. The festival offers an opportunity to take part as a competitor or enjoy the spectacle as a visitor, with colorful dragon boats, dramatic starts and spirited team calls contributing to the atmosphere.

Berlin CityCup also provides practical event information, including the race schedule, program, competition rules and participation conditions, alongside results, certificates, news, photos and videos. The event celebrates teamwork, sport and the excitement of dragon boat racing in Berlin.
