About BEROC
BEROC is a leading independent academic research center in Belarus, specializing in economic studies. Established in 2008 as a joint project between the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) and the Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC), BEROC has since conducted various academic and applied research, organized educational programs, and engaged in other relevant activities. The center collaborates with international economic experts from renowned universities and research centers worldwide, fostering connections between the Belarusian and international academic communities.
BEROC offers a platform for scientific discussions between economists working in Belarus and experts of Belarusian origin currently abroad. As part of the FREE Network of research centers, which includes SITE (Stockholm), BICEPS (Riga), CEFIR (Moscow), CenEA (Szczecin), ISET-PI (Tbilisi), and KSE (Kiev), BEROC contributes to a vibrant and diverse academic research network. With a mission to advance economic knowledge and understanding, BEROC plays a pivotal role in shaping economic discourse in Belarus and beyond
