Berrakaw

Berrakaw is a South African pet transport and travel services company dedicated to helping families stay united with their animals. Its services cover domestic and international pet relocations, including travel to and from South Africa, for dogs, cats, birds, ferrets and reptiles. As a registered, government-approved export quarantine facility, Berrakaw coordinates the practical details of a move, from checking paperwork and liaising with veterinarians to arranging test results, flight bookings, State Vet endorsements and airport check-in. The team also provides guidance on destination-country requirements and supplies IATA-compliant wooden and plastic travel crates, with crate training to help pets prepare for their journey.

Berrakaw’s pet resort offers accommodation and a supervised, home-like environment before departure, alongside care for pets with special needs. Its staff manage final health and documentation checks and keep clients informed about flight details. A VIP chauffeur service transports pets in air-conditioned vehicles. Berrakaw describes its approach as personal and compassionate, treating each animal as an individual and supporting owners throughout the relocation process.
