Bertrand Moguerou

Bertrand Moguerou is an independent master luthier based in Vernou-sur-Brenne, in the Tours area of France. For more than 20 years, he has cared for guitars and mandolins, combining traditional craftsmanship with attention to each instrument and musician. His workshop offers the manufacture, repair, adjustment, amplification and sale of acoustic and electric guitars, as well as mandolins.

Custom-made instruments are a central part of the work. Clients can request designs tailored to their preferences, including details such as body shape, neck specifications and wood selection. Recent creations include steel-string acoustic guitars featuring Jura spruce tops and figured ash or walnut for the back, sides and neck. The workshop also makes nylon-string guitars, electric guitars, mandolins and original designs.

Moguerou welcomes visitors to explore his instruments and workshop, and exhibits his work at lutherie events, including the Festival Le Son Continu. The workshop is open on Thursdays and Fridays by appointment. He is a member of the professional association for artisan luthiers specialising in guitars and other plucked-string instruments.
