About BESO Foundation
The BESO Foundation is dedicated to empowering the Bugerere community in Uganda. They provide access to quality education, healthcare services, and vocational training. Their goal is to break the cycle of poverty in rural areas by offering children, especially girls, access to quality education through their social enterprise schools.
These schools prioritize quality teaching to improve learning outcomes. Additionally, BESO Foundation promotes economic empowerment for women through microfinance initiatives. Their impact is commendable, with 80% of students passing standard literacy and numeracy tests in their own Kindergarten and lower primary school.
They also boast a 100% pass rate at National Examinations for their Secondary School, where 70% of the students are girls. Furthermore, their efforts have resulted in a 70% increase in savings for women through village savings and loan associations.
