Besstel Foundation

Besstel Foundation is a registered charity in the United Kingdom and Ghana focused on providing mental health interventions and improving access to support. Officially inaugurated in Accra in 2018 in collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Health and Mental Health Authority, the foundation works across both countries, with a particular focus on communities and underserved populations.

Its activities include mental health education and awareness, training for health workers, community outreach, and wellbeing programmes. The foundation has delivered sessions for schoolchildren, supported mental health and resuscitation training at Ridge Hospital in Accra, and held wellbeing programmes for the Ghana Prison Service. It has also educated market traders about mental health and donated medical supplies to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in partnership with St Andrews Hospital Northampton.

Besstel’s projects include annual volunteer and donor missions to Ghana addressing areas such as water and mental health. The organisation invites people to volunteer and donate to support its work.
