Bestattungsgaertende

Genossenschaft Kölner Friedhofsgärtner eG is a cooperative of more than 45 cemetery gardeners and affiliated businesses in Cologne. It helps families and individuals with grave design, ongoing grave care, and access to contemporary burial options in its Bestattungsgärten, or burial gardens. These landscaped areas combine urn and casket burial places with carefully designed gardens, offering a peaceful and welcoming setting for remembrance. Themed gardens include the Rose Garden, Meadow Garden, Garden of Lights, Bauerngarten, and Paths of Remembrance, among others, at cemeteries in Cologne, Bergisch Gladbach, and the surrounding area.

Qualified local cemetery gardeners provide year-round maintenance so graves remain well cared for. The cooperative also offers trust-managed long-term grave-care contracts, helping people arrange care in advance and easing responsibilities for relatives. Its website provides information on available gardens and cemeteries, burial choices, costs, and what to do after a death. A four-step calculator gives a quick cost overview, while contact and funeral-director search services help visitors find further support. The cooperative also works with funeral providers on advance-planning arrangements.
