Fundación Best Buddies Colombia

Best Buddies Colombia is a nonprofit organization and part of an international network present in more than 50 countries. In Colombia, it works to create inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, whom it calls “Amigos del Alma” (Friends of the Soul). Its purpose is to advance social and workplace inclusion through value-added partnerships.

The organization’s programs include volunteering, employment opportunities, and the Best Buddies School, which provides training for participants. Through these initiatives, it seeks to strengthen friendships, support access to dignified work, improve quality of life for participants and their families, and encourage more inclusive attitudes in the community. Best Buddies Colombia also provides business consulting and interventions across multiple economic sectors, helping companies address diversity and inclusion.

Its work connects individuals, families, businesses, and communities. The organization reports having trained more than 1,200 Amigos del Alma through its school and engaging employers and companies in inclusion efforts.
