Best Mate Pet Cremation

Best Mate Pet Cremation is a family-run pet cremation service in the countryside of County Limerick, overlooking the Shannon Estuary near the Limerick–Kerry border. Founded by Paul and Gillian, who previously managed Pawls Kennels and Grooming Service, the business was created to support families through the loss of a beloved companion with care and understanding.

Best Mate provides individual cremations for pets of all sizes, giving each family privacy and time to say goodbye with dignity. Families can bring their pet to the crematorium, arrange collection from a local veterinary practice, or request a home collection service. Visitors are welcomed personally, and a private family room offers a peaceful space for farewells.

The service also offers urns, memorial jewellery and other keepsakes, as well as personalised memorial options to help preserve a pet’s memory. Best Mate aims to make arrangements respectful and considerate, providing a tranquil setting and attentive support throughout the process. Its focus is on honouring the bond between pets and their families with a thoughtful, individual farewell.
